National Service Scheme Unit of N.H.Goel World School celebrated NSS Foundation Day on 24th September 2024. NSS Volunteers of Grade 11&12 organised a special celebration with an audience of students of grade 9-12 of CBSE and IGCSE. NSS song, Patriotism through culture and a skit with awareness campaign was part of the celebration. The celebration was graced by Principal- Dr. Awinash Pandey sir, Vice Principal- Ms. Preeti Sharma madam, SP-2 Cluster Head- Ms. Monika Panicker. The celebration was organised under the guidance of NSS Program Officer- Ms. Sakshi Kahar and was supported by all NSS Volunteers.

Higher Education Guidance sessions by Ms.Jacqueline Evanko commenced today with students and parents attending the session on 'Global Options Overview.' Parents and students reflected on the reasons where they want to send their children to study and why while simultaneously rethinking on casting a wider net instead of just focussing on applying to one study abroad destination. The key takeaway of this workshop was to find the right program fit rather than finding ways to reach a high ranking college. Students and parents were exposed to study abroad options in different countries like Canada, USA , UK, Australia and different countries in Europe.

Market Activity in Maths was done in Group for grade 2i . Unique store names was given to each group. The activity included 1 team as a Buyer and other team as a seller at a time. All the toys/objects were priced in Indian / US currencies and kept for sale in the stores. Different tasks done in the activity includes : Sellers team used Addition concept while making bill. Buyer used Money Concept to pay the bill amount in decimal.And lastly the Seller uses Subtraction concept to give the return amount.

Inter-House Hindi Speech Competition for Grades 4 and 5 was held on August 1, 2024, at Rangshilp Auditorium.

The annual Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2024-25 was held on 27th July, at N.H.Goel World School, marking a significant milestone for student leadership from grades 6 to 8. The event celebrated the appointment of new student leaders and emphasised the importance of responsibility and service. The highlight of the event was the induction of House Captains for the four houses: Karma House, Vishwas House, Gyan House, Lakshya House

The Investiture Ceremony at N.H. Goel school for FP and PP cluster was held on 27th July which marked an important occasion in the academic calendar, celebrating the induction of the newly elected student leaders for the academic year 2024-25. The highlight of the ceremony was the oath-taking of the newly elected student leaders. The students were formally inducted as Junior Head Boy, Junior Head Girl, Jr. House Captains, Green Ambassadors, Cub Reporters, Food wastage and Discipline incharges. Each student took an oath to uphold the values of the school and perform their duties with dedication and integrity.

The school organized a Hindi debate competition on “Artificial Intelligence: Boon or Curse” for SSP 1 students on 27th July 2024, engaging students from classes 9 and 10.

Today we had an alumni engagement session for Grade 9I - 12I Cambridge students with our ex student Ms.Gurit Anand who passed out from our school in 2022 and is currently pursuing her Global BBA from ESSEC School of Business, Singapore. Ms. Gurit shared her learning journey in ESSEC, profile building strategies for applying abroad and how Cambridge curriculum will help students seamlessly integrate with teaching, assessment methods and networking for industry placements practiced in her college.

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of The Banyan Tree Reading Circle with our young readers from Grade 3 to 5! Our students embarked on an exciting journey, exploring the world of literature and creativity. Through this activity, they demonstrated their understanding of storytelling, creativity, and critical thinking.

The Banyan Tree Reading Circle was successfully conducted from 15th to 20th July for Grade 1 and 2 students. This innovative initiative aims to instill a passion for reading among participants, recognizing the significance of reading in supporting and encouraging children's reading habits. Parents, grandparents, and teachers actively participated in storytelling sessions, creating a bonding experience around literature.

Election for the session 2024-25 was held in NH. Goel World School premises for all the four houses, for electing students for the post of Junior House Captains. Students from grade VI to VIII took an active part in the election process which started almost 15 days back before the polling day. Potential house members filed their nomination forms for the post of Jr. House captains. Nominated candidates campaigned for themselves by stating their plans, telling about their strengths through posters and asking students to vote for them. On Election Day students waited in long queue and casted their votes through ballot papers . Teachers counted the votes and results were declared.

NHGWS conducted an orientation for educating young minds of secondary and senior secondary grades about substance abuse and internet addiction led by Guest speaker Dr Mithhu Dutta( Psychiatrist). The students were primed about the scope, nature, and impending risks of such addictions, which are rampant these days. The orientation was followed by an exhaustive round of Q&A session wherein students participated actively.

N.H. Goel World School and Scholastic India is happy to offer a unique Internship opportunity designed exclusively for high school students. The program is designed to give high school students an opportunity to be exposed to multiple organizational functions (Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Management etc.) to help them build skills and prepare them with a creative and start-up outlook. The Scholastic School Internship Program (SIP) has been designed to be a 3-week Internship in which students would be given online training by the scholastic planning team. The students will be under the able guidance and mentorship of experienced professionals and gain deep insights about their future career choices, helping them to gain valuable experience and an edge in their college admissions. An orientation program was conducted to ensure a smooth transition into the internship, providing the students with all the necessary information and resources to start their journey confidently.
