NH Goel World School is thrilled to announce the kick-off of its highly anticipated CBSE National Athletics Meet. The first day of the Games witnessed an electrifying atmosphere filled with unbridled energy and zest displayed by the enthusiastic students.
The Event was inaugurated by our esteemed Chief Guest, Shri K Srinivasan, Joint Secretary and Regional Officer, CBSE Bhubaneshwar along with Ms Parul Chaudhary the rising star Indian Athlete, who was the Guest of Honour. The Event commenced today with The Lighting of the Lamp. The esteemed dignitaries of NH Goel World School, Shri Suresh Goel Ji, Chairman. Shri Rajendra Goel ji, Managing Director. Mr S.K.Tomar, Director Administration. Dr. Awinash Pandey, Principal. Mrs Preeti Sharma, Vice-Principal, graced the occasion..
During the opening ceremony, our chief guest Shri K. Shrinivasan addressed the gathering by a motivational speech saying that “There’s No Shortcut To Success”. He also highlighted the importance of these Games in fostering teamwork, perseverance, and fair play and encouraged them to embrace the true spirit of friendly competition. Ms Parul Chaudhary added that, one needs to keep boosting himself to keep moving ahead.
The school witnessed the March Past of all the participants. The Torch was handed over to Ravneet Shahi from Ms Parul and then Dhruvee Sahu, Vijay Yadav and Ananya Pandey simultaneously
.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the track events. Students sprinted down the track, and gracefully launched themselves into long jumps, pushing their physical limits to achieve personal best. The ground was vibrant with colorful banners, cheering spectators, and students proudly donning their respective team jerseys.
The School witnessed some final track events as follows-
Girls Under-14, Shot Put was bagged by Ms. Nandini Verma in the First Position with a fabulous throw marking 9.45m from Shivalik International Sr. Sec. Public School Nalagarh Solan followed by Girls Under-17, Shot Put with a powerful throw of 13.41m by S Merlin Hannah George Santhosh from St. John’s Eng School Besant Nagar Chennai TN.Next category was the Boys Under-19, High Jump and the First Position was taken by Muhammed Sayan A.F with a leading leap of 1.91m from Bhavans Adarsha Vidyalaya.
The National Athletic Meet will continue for the next two days, with thrilling track events. Each day promises to be filled with unforgettable moments and friendly rivalries as athletes strive to make their mark.
