Interschool Sports Event ‘Aarohan-22’- Closing Ceremony
Four days interschool sports event-Aarohan -2022’ was organised by NH Goel World School. On the day of closing ceremony, Respected Colonel (Retd.) Avinash Singh, Principal Rajkumar College, Raipur graced the occasion as chief guest. Honourable Colonel Vishnu Singh Shikarwar (NCC Deputy Group Commander) was also present as a Guest of Honour on this occasion.
During her welcome address of the distinguished guests, School principal Smt. Krishna Bhatti mentioned the importance of such events and called it a result of holistic effort. She emphasised on the need of togetherness for the success of such events. Around 600 children from the capital city of Raipur took part in various events. In team events under -19, NH Goel World School defeated Brighton School and clinched the trophy. In the football match also both the teams displayed their exemplary skills but finally NH Goel School team was the winner. Under -14 category, KPS Dunda team was the winner and in Girls’ Football NH Goel School team was the winner and KPS team was the runner up.
In Tennis, DPS Raipur stole the show and Yashtika Somani and Sanika Sharma were declared the winners. In under -14 category, players of Rajkumar College also displayed their spectacular skills and were applauded by everyone. In the senior group, Samarth Soni, Aarush Khan, Meet Jumnani were declared the winner. In basketball boys and girls, NH Goel School teams were declared the overall champions.
During the closing ceremony, chief guest, Respected Colonel Avinash Singh emphasised on the need of events and how they teach us life skills which we learn so naturally. Sports are integrally associated with our health and we must adopt physical activities in our daily life. To keep ourself fit and healthy, there can be no other better medium than sports.
Director administration, Respected SK Tomar, Director Emeritus, Respected Kalpana Choudhary and Vice-Principal Respected, Dr. Awinash Pandey were also present on the occasion.
