Children’s Day

Every child is a different kind of flower and all together make this world a beautiful garden.”

November 14th is celebrated as Children’s Day or Bal Diwas every year in India. The special day is celebrated in remembrance of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, born on November 14th, 1889. He was very popular amongst children for his love. November 14th marks Nehru ji’s devotion to welfare, education, and the development of children and young people.

A day marking childhood and to make this event memorable for our children the students of Grades IV and V of N.H. Goel World School was taken for a class picnic at Central Park on 14th November 2022.

We started at 9.00 am in the morning with prayer and a feeling of great day ahead. With their bags packed with games, food, and a lot more, the children were very happy and excited to go for the picnic. They were accompanied by their teachers and other school staff. The students were extremely thrilled and kept singing songs in the bus till they reached the venue.

On reaching the park, the children enthusiastically explored the alluring beauty and bounties of nature. The day was well spent enjoying, singing, and interacting with each other. They played different board games, football, badminton, etc. The most enjoyable time was in the play area with swings, slides, a merry-go-round, a see-saw, etc. After a tiring and fun-packed morning, we all headed for snacks where we all relished different items of food. The group photograph time motivated students to make funny faces for the click!

The visit to the park was a memorable one and it motivated the students to take care of their environment and to maintain cleanliness around them. It was a wonderful opportunity for all the children to strengthen their bonds and everyone came back to the school rejuvenated.
