Odisha Day
Being a pioneer in embracing and celebrating diversity and cultural grandeur of the motherland NH Goel World School celebrated Odisha Day on the 20th October 2022. The auspicious day began with renowned Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath which witnessed overwhelming participation from students and other stake holders with religious fervour and gusto. The procession was taken out amidst blowing of conch shells, beating of drums and the chant of Jai Jagannath reverberating in the premises of the school. The programme was presided over by Sri Bhakt Charan Das, former Union Minister who along with other dignitaries, Sri Suresh Goel , Chairman,Sri Rajendra Goel ji, managing Drector, Sri SK Tomar, Director Administration, Smt Krishna Bhati , Principal  and Dr Awinash Pandey, Vice Principal, lit the lamp seeking divine blessings. The Principal in her welcome address greeted all the guests.  The Chief Guest accorded a floral welcome by Sri Suresh Goel and Sri Rajendra Goel. Addressing the gathering the Union Minister gave a brief introduction of the state of Odisha and lauded the effort of the institution for organizing the day in such a grand scale. He also urged the students to respect the rich cultural traditions of different states as this binds us in a bond of harmony.
The first attraction of the celebration was a poem by teachers after which followed an array of dance and song performances. The audience lost themselves in soulful songs like Jagannath Vandana, Durga Vandana and Utkal Diwas Vandana. The folk and classical dances by students, parents and teachers enraptured and transported the audience to the heartland of Odisha. The  Rath Yatra procession  by EP students received a huge adulation. The students of FP displayed confidence in their gait while parading the stage in the traditional outfits of Odisha. 
If the floors of the school were made beautiful with alpanas, the corridors of the school were decorated with chart papers, models, traditional ornaments, beautiful paintings, handicrafts.  replica of village household and market place.One could also see beautiful images of Lord Jagannath, a temple, a hut, a cricketer and several other images etched on sand. The selfie corner was the centre of attraction for the participants and the audience alike. The programme was followed by Mahaprasad in the school cafetaria wherein everyone partook of the delicacies prepared under the supervision of the Pandas who had consented to come all the way from Jagannath Temple, Puri. 
The Vice Principal of the school proposed vote of thanks acknowledging the magnanimity of the management, involvement of the Principal and the teachers-in -charge. He also appreciated the active participation of the parents, contribution of the teachers and the students. He also added full cooperation of the administrative and the housekeeping staffs was no less significant in the success of the programme.
